PaxWorld Jan 2022

Hey Fellow Romance Fanatics,

I hope you had wonderful holidays, and were able to spend time with family and friends.
I had a great time filled with food, laughter, and love. Maybe that’s why my PaxWorld header postcard to you in this newsletter says Happy Loving New Year. It’s what I wish for you for 2022.

Giveaway
I’m giving 3 signed paperbacks of Queen Bee away. If you’re a winner and you’d like the e-book instead, you have a choice. Open the link to the current PaxWorld Newsletter to enter, and read the contest rules.
My next giveaway will be in February. I’ve chosen a spa package gift giveaway around my book Love Contract.

WIP (Whip it Good)
I’m more than halfway through the first book in the next series. The series name and title might change, but not the story. This will be a 3 – 4 book series with the running thread of the MacTavish Cellars winery. I’m planning for all the books to be standalones, but you never know what the writing goddess will whisper in my ear once I’m in the writing process…lol.
To date, the series is called The Scotsman’s Kilt and the title of the first book is Lachlan’s Story. This is a contemporary romance set in Silicon Valley. The grandson is the heir to a Scottish spirits and wine empire. After a series of bad behavior and choices, he’s exiled to Silicon Valley to establish a winery in California. This is a reverse triangle romance with the woman he left behind in Scotland and a new love interest that’s a Scottish female born in America.

Fun Fact–The Scotsman’s Kilt
The story is set in the MacTavish Cellars winery and all the men in the tasting room must wear kilts. Imagine a big strapping Scotsman pouring you at taste of a wonderful Chardonnay….You get the picture…yum.

What’s Heating up the Kitchen?
I grew up with the tradition of helping to make and eating tamales this time of year. I’ve always regretted that I didn’t get my grandmother’s recipe before she passed away, but after years of searching, I found a recipe for tamales on the Texas Highways’ website (Yes, grandmother was from Texas). This is the closest to replicating her tamales. There are two recipes listed, but the Pork Tamales are traditional. Just add cayenne if you’d like a bit of heat.

Thank you so much for reading, participating and being generally awesome!!
Love ya, and stay amazing,
Pax

Here’s the latest PaxWorld Newsletter for January 7 – February 12 with more information on the above topics. Besides the free and discounted romance e-books offered, there are always cool things to check out.
