The ski resorts especially, they thought they wouldn’t need to manufacture snow this season. There is a new rain front coming in soon, let’s hope it’s a soaker. (The entire series should be available by December 31st) What’s Heating up the Kitchen? What’s heating up my holiday kitchen? It’s rum cake!!! This is kind of my signature dish for an adult pot luck. Yeah, keep this away from anyone under twenty-one. This recipe has been around for years, it’s the Bacardi Rum Cake. First off, make a double batch of the glaze. People love to have some to pour over their slice of cake. Now for the special part. When the cake has completely cooled and is still in the pan, use a toothpick or a skewer to poke holes in the cake. Pour a 1/4 cup of rum over the cake and let it sit for another five minutes, then glaze as instructed. Your guests will get a nice hit of rum with their cake. Enjoy! What’s heating up your kitchen?
